I thought you might be amused to see some of the equipment I've been forced to improvise in the studio here in Bangladesh

Angled lamps aren't available in Bangladesh

I hunted all over Chittagong (a city of 4.5 million people) but failed to find anywhere which sold angle lamps.

For a time we couldn't get magnifying glasses (we can now). A great leap forward for the desh.

Its possible to buy lenses from a scientific equipment store. We carved the mounts for the glasses.

Used to straighten warped wood (and obtain confessions from heretics)

Our second effort. This time we supplied fairly thick steel bars.
