We just had a visit from the Bangladesh Army. They are currently stationed within
the EPZ (Export Processing Zone) because rioting has taken place in other parts
of the country. I've been trying to get some of these chaps to come into the
studio, so that I could take this photograph, for days. When two of them walked
in of their own accord a few minutes ago I had someone keep them talking while
I fetched the camera. It can take a long time to change lenses, find the flash,
put on the filter and then locate the flash card!
I want to get some pictures of some of the other troops (both from the army and
police force) who are stationed around the EPZ. I'm particularly keen to take
a snap of a weird gun which one of the cops is equipped with. It looks like
something out of Warhammer 40K. The end of the barrel opens out into a stainless
steel cone. For firing tear gas? To worry the opposition?
