Slop-N-Go
As an experiment I'm offering a new service for owners of Irregular miniatures 6mm figures. Irregular are famous
in the hobby for enabling people to amass huge armies at minimal cost. Their miniatures are functional but basic.
The Slop-N-Go service gives you the paint work you need to get an army on the march. Per figure the price is
5 pence (infantry) and 8 pence (Cavalry) 3 pence (for guns). Chariots and Elephants charged as per work required. I will
need to have each figure type in a separate packet with an enclosed painting guide. I can't offer matt varnish for these
figures as I have a limited supply. They will be supplied gloss but you can quickly matt varnish them with Vallejo
once you get them home. Conversion to US Dollars is at 1.80 dollars equals 1 pound.
I'm not offering the service for any other miniatures or for any other scale. Painting these miniatures is not commercial
its a service to the hobby. I'm afraid I'll have to veto any armies without a high degree of uniformity or involving any
art work. I know of people who have painted 'Cow Hide' shields for their Irregular armies. Having looked at the
economics, postage and so on, I find that its not worth taking up this offer with less than 2000 figures.
The description 'Slop-N-Go' comes from the comic 'Knights of the Dinner' table which chronicles the adventures of a
group of role players. One of the group operates a painting service with three quality standards, Slop-N-Go being
the lowest.
